Hi Akim,
OSM author COS/Print - a network-aware print spooler for Digital UNIX
(and most other flavours of UNIX) which offers mainframe style
functionality in conjunction with true distributed capability. Most
important features include:
- network-aware queuing model with multiple queues per printer and
multiple printers per queue.
- freedom to locate print queues and printers arbitrarily on the
network
- multiple levels of systems administration capability
- full access control to features and assets (printers, queues etc.)
- fine control over print attributes including priorities, time of
printing, stationery requirements, printer styles and page ranges
- lockable defaults for print attributes for various users/user
classes
- full facilities for stopping, pausing and restarting print jobs
- compatibility with lp, lpr, lpd
- integration with other COSMOS modules
- GUI and CUI (curses) interfaces - Windows 95 interface in Q1 1997
