Swap space

Dear Gurus,

I'm running a 2100 4/275 under DU 3.2c with 256 Mb memory.

So far, I've had no problem with the swap space (i'm running the
"standard" swap mode allocation)

I have a total of 1134 Mb allocated for the swap, in 5 files on 5
different disks

All of a sudden, I'm bombed with the message "swap space below 10%"

Indeed, "swapon -s" answers:

Total swap allocation:
    Allocated space: 145266 pages (1134MB)
    Reserved space: 140883 pages ( 96%)
    In-use space: 59594 pages ( 41%)
    Available space: 4383 pages ( 3%)

My problem is that "top" does not report anything special, I can't see
any huge process running.

Hence my question: how can I know who or what is responsible for this
swap problem?

Thank you for your help,

Jean-Loup
