pident and enhanced security?

First, thanks to the list for all the help. Reponses are too numerous to
list. Bottom line, you can get the daemon here:

ftp://ftp.uu.net/networking/ident/servers

as to the other problems, it works fine with c2, I just need a little
clarification on my understand of how things worked.

Additionally, every /etc/services I had had auth set up on port 113. Now
you can run identd off another port at invocation with a -p switch, but
there were enough other people out there who ran into the same thing and
just modified the entry to work with ident.
