tcpdump

I started using tcpdump, but it doesn't seem to be dumping all packets
to and from the network I select. Has anyone used this successfully?
I'd like to see some examples if possible. (We have two 100BaseTX
interface cards, tu1 and tu2, acting as primary and secondary networks
in a redundant configuration.)
