too many shared segments

Hello,

While trying to increase the size of Oracle's SGA, we got the following
error.

ORA-07329: smscsg: too many shared memory segments
 Additional information: 2

Investigating this error:

Cause: The internal data structure that holds the segment information is full.

Action: Reconfigure UNIX kernel to have larger segments.
