All of them responded immediately and thanks for that. They
had suggested to check for /etc/shells to check for the user's shell
in it. We are using /bin/sh for all users. The /etc/shell has /bin/sh,
/bin/csh, /usr/bin/sh, /usr/bin,csh. Also root is running /bin/sh.
So, I think this is not the problem.
Eric.Z.Ayrers had suggested to check for the file .netrc in the users
home directory. I had checked for that also. None of the users have
this file and there is no file in the system by that name.
So, I am planning to re-install the Basic-Networking layered-product
from the os cd-rom. Any suggestions are welcome with great thanks.
