Dear Gurus,
Some time ago I asked a question about XDMCP, and I did not summarize
because my question was not properly stated.
Here is my problem:
- here on the LAN, we have about 15 X-terms (DEC and NCD) working
gracefully with our 2100 server (DU 3.2c)
- now, some users from a *remote* site would like to establish X sessions
on the server from their X-terms (or PC or Macs with emulators). The
remote X-terms boot on a remote machine, not on our 2100.
It seems to be impossible to establish a session:
- if they try a direct connection, nothing happens but "host/network
not responding"
- now, through their local server or with their telnet emulator, they
establish a telnet session on our server, then "setenv DISPLAY xxx:0"
and finally "dxsession".
The answer is: "failed to start remote session manager -
access denied"
I sure miss something somewhere......
My file /var/adm/Xaccess contains one uncommented line with a "*", thus
I think that there is no access restriction?
There is no "deny" or "allow" file.
Could you help me?
Jean-Loup
