Hi, I'm sure this is a simple problem. I did a complete reinstall of
DU 4.0B (the system was originally 2.0). We access the
Alpha 3000 Model 400 using Exceed on Win95 machines. Exceed
now fails (did work under OSF 2.0) saying
XDM session declined
using ps -A I do not see xdm, when run by typing xdm the process
lives until someone tries to connect with a xwindow, then
xdm dies. Telnet and ftp continue to work fine.
As part of a CSLG(whatever that is) we do not have manuals and
without an xwindow session I can't look at the manual files
I believe are on the Alpha. Any help or suggestions of where to
look would be heartily appreciated.
