Dear Friends,
Thanks to the following persons:

As expected, I did not get any solution to repair(retrive)
my disk. I will re-format and see, if it works.
Now, the disk is generating some music(tung-click-tung-tung)
on its own. My H/W engineer has to come and check yet.
My other disks are fine.
I received a few good tips(though, some contradiction exists).
I am sure they may be useful to others as well.
alan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com says :
Modern disks become fairly hot. So, Cooling is strongly
recomended.
.... 19-22 C may be OK.
Harald Lundberg <hl_at_tekla.fi> says :
The 7200 rpm(mine is 3600 rpm) disks relatively may be
problematic.
Make sure about cool temparature(20 C) and more importantly
all fans should be working fine.
RAID disks is a good selection.
"Edward D. Silver" <eds_at_ipcc.com> says:
Temperature is VERY important.
Make sure that side covers are CLOSED(mine are closed).
... Mech. engineers may explain how covering helps better
heat dissipation/air circulation rather than open one.
Jef Hamlin <jef_at_bhe.com> says:
About Bus mis-match. Some disks work on certain buses only.
We have to take care about what disks we put on our bus.
And mixing of wide disks and narrow disk on the same bus
causes problems.
... in my case it was working. So, it should not crib suddenly.
no new disk is added before problem arose.
"Nagaraja, Raja" <Raja.Nagaraja_at_actew.com.au> says :
Run system on UPS only ... we do.
He also says that temparature and dust may cause damage to
disks.
Keep cool and clean environment.
... I have to see how I can do this. We allow shoes and
slippers. It is not there in my control also!
Surely, a good point to follow.
Gary Menna <G.Menna_at_isu.usyd.edu.au> says:
Sudden temperature fluctuations are more harmful than
extremes of temperature
However, agrees in cool conditions.
Thanks to one and all,
Brahmaji
