Hi all,

I'm having problems running Polycenter Networker apps on
a few of my machines. The circumstances are this:

The machines are alphastation 250 4/266's.

One runs 4.0, one runs 4.0b, although the problem also
        happened under 3.2d-1.

If the user is running a dxsession, both nwadmin
and nwbackup (the two we usually use) give pages
and pages of unaligned access errors. This is enough
to hang the machine, at least temporarily. Cntl-c,
cntl-o, cntl-d, in some combination will shut up
the errors *and* cause the GUI to come up.

uac -p 0 makes the error messages go away, of course.

Under a dtsession, the GUI's start just fine, with
        no errors.

        I've tried this with version 3.1, 3.2, and 4.2a
of the nsr software. Same results for all.

I do not have a similar problem running any version
of the nsr software on a dec 3000/600, dec 3000/300, or
        alphaserver 1000a.

Networker is running as SingleServer, in this case.

Thanks very much!
