Hi Gurus,
In a search for a way to allow my users to change their passwords
without login (via telnet/rlogin/etc) on my server, I find a daemon called
poppassd
It implements a simple protocol (like ftp) to change the password,
Eudora EMail uses it. The great advantage I found on this method is it
didn't access the /etc/passwd file directly it change the password trough
the /bin/passwd command!
My problem is I can't get it to work properly on my system... and I'm
not a great C+Unix programer to find out why it don't work...
I have a AlphaServer 400 running DU3.2c, anyone had any experience with
poppassd???
I'm sending the package attached (it is realy small) if someone want to
take a look at it.
Thanks in advance,
Antonio.
