Hello All,

we are using Pro/Engineer 17 on AlphaStations 255/233 running
Digital UNIX V3.2D-1.
In some cases station crashes with no crash dump - directly to FW console
with:

 halted CPU 0
 halt code = 2
 kernel stack not valid halt

 PC=180f8

Says such messages something?

We have:
 AlphaStation 255/233, 128MB memory,
 PowerStorm 4D20 (depth 32, map size 16MB, 1280x1024), Firmware revision: 6.3
 (PALcode: OSF version 1.46)

Digital UNIX V3.2D-1 (Rev. 41), applied patch OSF360-034 (correct floating
point instructions fail for OSF PAL code since 1.45 and DU 3.2D),
 Open3D V3.4.

Have anybody experience with running such configuration? Please send me
your suggestion about required patches, version combinations that are more
stable, etc. (maybe this is bear on graphics operations - maybe some patch
for Open3D required?).

I'm also interested in experience with needed swap space. Also our users
uses Pro/Mechanica too. And our 300MB swap looks too small for some
computations. Have anybody experience how many virtual memory is needed?

Uses anybody Pro/Engineer + DU3.2D + AFS file system? We have all software
on AFS and DEC support says that this maybe problem (DEC do not support AFS).
We are very welcome any experience with this combination.

Thank you VERY much in advance for any help or suggestion!

Best regards,

   Jiri
