hi people

I am trying to rdump from a machine A to a alpha machine B with a tape
streamer.
I got the following error

DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Wed Apr 2 21:28:06 1997
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
  DUMP: Dumping /dev/hda1 (/) to /dev/nrmt0a on host root_at_fis.plot.dop.pt
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
DUMP: estimated 23228 tape blocks on 0.60 tape(s).
DUMP: Protocol to remote tape server botched (code "Not a terminal").
rdump: Lost connection to remote host.
DUMP: Bad return code from dump: 1

I must stress that in fis.plot.dop.pt (actually machine B) I made a link
/rmt to /usr/sbin/rmt, and add the machine A to the /etc/hosts.equiv in
machine B

machine A is running DU-4.0 and machine B is running DU-3.2C.

any help is appreciated

miguel
