Hi to everyone,

Thanks for the comments for the previous summary from :

Olle Eriksson <olle_at_cb.uu.se>

All the comments indicate that it is usually not a good idea to remove
/tmp. Because in single user mode with only the root file system mounted
there is no /tmp directory. It may cause problem when bootup and in
single user mode. Therefore, use /tmp as a mount point for the another
file system would be a better solution.

My original question is :
Today morning, we found that the root file system is 100% full. After
some investigation, it seems that a very large popd working file reside
in /tmp that made the root file system full. After the root file system
full, the popd was stucked. We are looking for solution to prevent it
happen again.

My previous summary is :
> Mainly, four suggestions were provided :
> 1) Change the file system size of root, but it seems hard to do so.
> 2) rm /tmp, then create a symbolic link to another file system.
> 3) Use /tmp as a mount point for the another file system.
> 4) Source another pop mail server like qualcom qpopper, cucipop.

> Suggest 2 seems to be the easiest one.
