This question should not be too difficult for you gurus out there...
I want to restrict login from certain domains, and therefore I'm in the
process of installing logdaemon-5.6.
After the usual 'gzcat logdaemon-5.6.tar.gz | tar xvf -' I enter the
logdaemon-5.6 directory and read the 'README' file. OK so far, but no
installation instructions.
I check out the Makefile. OK... 'make decosf1' should build the libraries
and executables. I do it and the only warnings I got was:
ar: Warning: creating libskey.a
ar: Warning: creating libutil.a
The question now is: then what? Usually I do a 'make -n install' to check
out what and where things are to be installed, but 'install' is not
defined in Makefile. I guess I have to copy the different executables and
libraries to where they have to be installed.
Does anybody have a description of what is to be done next? Any warnings
of what I'm trying to do?
(If you ask which OS: DU 4.0 running NIS and NFS.)
