I've just upgraded from a 3000 300LX to a 255/233 workstation,
and decided to set up from scratch rather than moving
lots of stuff from one machine to another.
I find however that when I open the System Admin icon from
within the Application Manager (when not logged in as root)
all I see is a README file rather than the System Admin icons
I was previously used to, which when I started them, prompted me
for the root password.
I don't recall doing anything special to enable such a
feature previously, though I did work my way to CDE via
DECwindows/Motif on the 3000 300LX.
Can anyone tell me how I can make the System Admin
applications appear and be usable when I'm not root
ie. establish the behaviour I'm used to?
Thanks
Ray
