Bi-directional Ethernet Card?

     Folks-

     I've acquired an Alpha 2100 A500MP server running OSF1
V3.2 214. My sum-total documentation seems to be the Owners
Guide. The network folks want to know whether to set their
Switched Ethernet port for single or bi-directional Ethernet.
How do I find out whether I have a bi-directional Ethernet card
in the Alpha? If it is bi-directional, how do I turn on its
bi-directionality? I'd like to communicate bi-directionally if
possible as this should be faster.
