We have a networking application running under DU4.0A in a
muti-processor environment with real-time processes locked to
every cpu. Every 200ms we ping all other nodes using ICMP. If we
don't receive a ping response back within 600ms we declare that
node dead.
It appears that the real-time processes are starving the kernel,
therefore the kernel doesn't have time to process the ping's.
I downloaded and tested dcpi, but I don't believe it provides enough
information, and Peformance Advisor is not available for DU4.0A
until mid-May.
Does anyone know of a tool that would show detailed information
on what processes are running for how long and at what time?
