Hi all,
the system is a 2100 with two identical stacks of disks running DU
3.2D-1. Root, swap, /usr and the rest of the disk space are all
configured as LSM mirrored volumes. The data volume is striped.
I need to change the hostname on this system. This is normally a
trivial thing but I have noticed that /etc/vol/volboot contains the
hostname and executing commands like volprint -dm gives me a number of
fields that contain the hostname.
I have had a number of bad experiences with LSM in the past and
/etc/vol/volboot gives me the creeps anyway. So I'm asking the list
before doing anything. Should I:
a) change the hostname as normal and LSM will take care of itself?
b) change the hostname and edit the /etc/vol/volboot file appropriately?
c) change the hostname, /etc/vol/volboot and lots of other files?
d) any other option?
Thanks, Marco
