Modem - call back feature

Can someone please tell me how to disable the call back feature on a modem
connected to a dec alpha (OSF1 version 3.2)? A tech support person from an
application vendor dialed into our dec alpha. However it appears as if the
call was re-initiated by our dec alpha and consequently we were faced with a
large bill when the tech support person failed to sign off.

Would the '-t 999' parameter on the getty command prevented a long connect
charge?

How is the callback (reverse the charge) feature enabled / disabled?

Thanks in advance for your help.
