A few days ago I posted this question:
I'm trying to build GCC 2.7.2.2 on DU 4.0B, and 'make LANGUAGES=c'
aborted at
./xgcc -B./ -DIN_GCC -g -I./include enquire -o enquire
collect2: cannot find '/usr/lib/old_ld'
*** Exit 1
Trying GCC 2.7.2.1 and DU 4.0A made no difference.
Has anyone seen this before? Your help would be greatly
appreciated.
Not receiving replies from this group, a couple of days later, I posted
the question on the gnu.gcc.help newsgroup. I received a reply from
Jim Wilson (wilson_at_cygnus.com) and he pointed out that the GCC sources
might have been modified to build GCC for SGI IRIX 6.x system. And
he was correct. Both the GCC 2.7.2.2 and 2.7.2.1 sources had been
modified! Many thanks to Jim, and to this group for your attention.
