Greetings,
I am having trouble with the stock IDA sendmail removing the local
host name from the From:address. I am sending from cermet.llnl.gov and
all internal mail (except from root) arrives at its destination from
rnfrank_at_pierce.llnl.gov . Pierce is a mail exchanger that is putting
its name in the host spot.
The sendmail.cf file is pretty well documented. I have tried commenting
the lines which are commented as "strip local host name" in S11 and S13 to
no avail. Then I commented this line from S0

# localize if possible (rip off _at_DOMAINs for which we are authoritative)
# R$*<_at_$+>$* $:$>18$1<_at_$2>$3

I have been reading Sendmail & Nemeth's excellent book, but progress is
pitifully slow. All advice is greatly appreciated.
