About a dozen replies already - all suspecting a bad memory board.
Since these started showing up more after the 2GB upgrade, it makes
sense.
Thanks to everyone who replied!
A few tips from the responses:
rich suggested:
a the >>> prompt type test
that will test everything incl memory
then do >>> show memory
you can shuffle memory from bank to bank to isolate a bad simm(s).
Excellent! I just like to be pretty sure I understand what is wrong
before calling in the troops. This sounds like it will nail it down.
Jeff suggested trying dia(8) if running DU 4.0 (I'm unfortunately
still running 3.2D, but plan to upgrade soon, so this will be of much
value after the upgrade).
Patrick suggested talking to Digital Support about getting DEC Event
as it provides much more info to help pinpoint the problem. Sounds
like a worthwhile phone call!
Again - thanks for all of the replies.
