We've been seeing periodic freezes of the Apache Web Server on our Alpha 3000.
We've gone from OSF/1 V2.0 to Digital Unix V3.2, and have been running most
of the releases of Apache 1.2bx (currently at 1.2b10).
HTTP is the only service that freezes, and it's becoming quite frustrating.
Does anyone have similar experiences, or suggestions for isolating the
problem? At this point, I'm not sure if it's specific to Apache, a quirk in
how Apache builds with the standard C compiler (I'm gonna try gcc and its libs
and see if there is any difference) or whether there's something odd in
Digital Unix that happens to get tickled by the way Apache runs.
Any and all suggestions are welcome. I will summarize the results.
