Has anyone succeeded in making xmcd work with the RRD46 CD-ROM drive
that comes with an AlphaStation 500? The problem seems to be that the
device driver does not unlock the device when the CD-ROM is ejected;
when xmcd tries to reopen the device it fails. Nothing short of a reboot
will free the device.
