Ho all,
I did have a DEC Alpha 3000/600 working fine with V2.0 of OSF. The PAK's
for OSF-BASE and OSF-USR were registered A-OK. Instead of "upgrading" to 3.0
then upgrading to 4.0 etc etc, I did a new "custom" install of 4.0B.
Now it needs
a PAK registered for OSF-BASE .... but the one I gave it (from when it had
V 2.0) it doesn't like (checksum error).
QUESTION: Was I suppose to get a new PAK with the new CD's?? Should the
old one work? and, can I use another PAK from another system that has
OSF-BASE for OSF 4.0B?
and, did DEC chnage the format of the PAK's wrt including the keyword
of ALPHA?????
ps. I WAS on upgrade service, so I was entitled to new upgrades.
Any help (on this weekend) would help GREATLY!!
Thanks.
