Hello

I was wondering if their is a way for a shell script to modify the current
directory of its parent process, ie suppose a bash shell script is invoked
from /usr/home/fred/ is there any way I can change this to say /usr/local/etc
such that when I exit the shell script I will be in /usr/local/etc.

Hopefully it is something obvious that I am missing or not understanding.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Thankyou

  Harvey Davis
