Summary<About the NFS>

Hi,everybody:

I have resolved the problem of NFS.
When I add the ip address and the host name of the client in the
/etc/hosts of NFS server, the client can mount the file system exported
on the AlphaServer. It is the reason why in the early the NFS server can
not verify the identity of the client.

   This is my original question:

I want to run the NFS service on my AlphaServer,I write the exported
directories in the file /etc/exports,then I start the nfs daemon. Now I
can mount the exported nfs directory on the same machine, but when I
connect to a nfs client on Win95 using NFS client software,or a Netware
server running NFS2.1 servie, the client or the Netware server can not
mount the directories that exported on the AlphaServer.
   Does anyone know why?

Following is the message from Paul Grant:

These client machines should be aliased properly against their ip
address in the /etc/hosts.......

      The message from Dustin fu:

In the /etc/exports file, did you specify the name of the client
or just the IP address? The NFS server will verify the client, do you
have nameserver if you specify the name of the client? Or
incompatibility between the server software and the client software?
Did you use 'setup' to start the NFS daemon?

      regards,
