Hello,
Firstly, apologies for delayed summary--I was away last week.
Secondly, as it is stated in the subject line, I was barking
at the wrong tree. However, I felt that somebody may need this
information.
I wanted to downgrade AS2100 from du4.0b to 3.2g in order to
present alpha with Oracle--there are some problems with
GUI/du4.0b/oracle. I tried with fresh install from 3.2g
distribution but no luck. The screen went garbled after loading
the kernel. OK, it's probably the firmware, so I downgraded the
firmware too. The same thing again. OK, let's try with ECU.
Rubbish appeared on the screen as soon as ARC loaded.
Quite some time ago, I have changed COM1_BAUD from 9600 to 38400
for I forgot what reason. Apparently, both the DU installation
and the ARC are resetting serial lines to 9600, so after:
>>> set com1_baud 9600
everything was all right. Yes, I've been using a VT because
there is no VGA card in AS2100. It would have never occurred to
me if it wasn't for an older colleague who told me to check the
baud rate. So, it wasn't firmware nor ECU problem.
Advice: never change baud rate from 9600 on serial line #1.
I would like to thank atoalu2_at_ato.abb.se (Andreas Lundgren) for
his kind offer of ECU1.9.
Greetings!
