The probem was that when patching DU4.0B so that we can run java
development stuff, we couldn't get the kernal to recompile. doconfig was
looking for " ADVMs_malloc_mutex_lockinfo" and "msfs_mntflushbuf" to link
to. As reported in several email's recently, the JDK (1.1.1) needs (for
some reason) needs access to the AdvFS stuff. As it turned out, we did
have this in our kernal (the -DMSFS option in the kernal rebuild wasn't
visible, but was in the list). The problem was (relating to "Stavros A.
Papadakis" <spapad_at_csi.forth.gr> response) was something in the README
file that is incomplete:
It states that Patch 70.01 (OSF410-400176-1) must be installed if subset
OSFADVFSBIN400 is installed on the system. We have OSFADVFSBIN410. The
readme file should have OSFADVFSBIN4XX or something to that affect.
Thanks for the help.
