In summary: DU 4.0C is a *hardware* release only; it won't ship as an
upgrade. The next *upgrade* is 4.0D, due late this year (currently,
October).

There's an ECO KIT out for 4.0B - I (in the US) can get to it from
ftp.service.digital.com. The patch directory is in

        ftp://ftp.service.digital.com/public/Digital_UNIX/v4.0b/

The README for the ECO kit is
