SUMMARY: login command is clearing login origin?

The answer was what I expected, a blank is placed in the field because it
is a local machine origin (by running the login command). But what I
didn't
realize was that the original process is logged out (at least from the w
view).

Intresting, If I wanted to hide my IP address from "w" viewers, I would
just
have to telnet in, then "login" at the shell prompt, my original process
disappears and my new process works fine (and no IP address is displayed)
yet I am "originating" from outside the system.....hmmm
