Bumping number of ptys for 3.2g

We've run up to the limit of 32 default ptys on our 3.2g box, and I
haven't much of a clue as to how to go about boosting it on Digital Unix.
I presume there's a kernel parameter that needs to be tweaked, but
haven't had occassion to try tuning on this OS (yet). Could someone
point me at the place to start?

Thanks.
