Regards managers,

We are in a process merging some automounter NIS maps in which we in
some of them have specified the 'vers=2' option. The problem is that our
AIX clients' (both 4.1.x and 3.2.5) automount daemons bombs on the
unknown option (must be a bug, all other automounters I have seen just
ignore unknown options but that is another story). This is of course no
good. One of the alternatives we discuss is turning off NFS3
functionality on the server (we have seen data corruption from Solaris
and SGI NFS3 clients). Rumour has it that this is possible on Solaris by
turning off some specific portnumbers in /etc/services. Is there a
similar way of doing this in DUNIX ?
