Hello All,

I am looking for solutions/ideas/thoughts/recommendations for backups
of Oracle Databases on Digital Unix Server's to tape.

My site has three machines with Oracle databases on them:

        1) DEC ALPHASERVER 8400, 2 TZ887 tapedrives, Digital Unix 4.0B

        2) DEC ALPHASERVER 2100, 2 TZ887 tapedrives, Digital Unix 3.2G

        3) DEC ALPHASERVER 2100, 1 tz877 tapedrive, Digital Unix 4.0B

Yes, machine #2 above is still at 3.2G, its not feasible to upgrade it
further at this time.

Our backup software currently is NSR V 4.2B, but I need to incorporate a
tape backup solution for Oracle databases.

I believe NSR, has an add-on piece for Oracle.

Anyone's thoughts/suggestions greatly appreciated. I will summarize.
