Is 115200 bps supported on a DEC3000/400 running DU4.0A?

I am going to upgrade our modems to 56 kbps and one of them
is connected to a DEC 3000/400 machine running DU4.0A. I have
tried to add the line

        b115200:dv=/dev/tty00:br#115200:pa=none

to /etc/remote, then run 'tip':

        # tip b115200

but the communication with the modem behaves very strangely and
hangs up after some time. At home I have an identical modem
connected to a 486DX2 running Linux, on which I am using 115200 bps.

Thanks for any advice.

Johan
