Disk run out of inodes

Hi managers,

We have a news server running innd and got the following message :
Server throttled No space (spool inodes) [innwatch:38] 233 lt 1000

I think that the inodes of the disk are used up. Do any body have idea
on how to increase the inodes of the disk ? Will I loose the data during
the process of increasing inodes ?
