NFS and DE500XA/100Mb

Hi Managers!

I have two AlphaServer 2100 running DU3.2d-2 using DE500xa 10/100Mb cards.
Server1 is running NFS services. Server2 has mounted the nfs exported filesystem.
The filesystem exported is of type advfs.

The problem is related to running vdump on Server2 to backup the exported
filesystem. When running the DE500xa in 10Mb mode everything works fine!

When running the DE500xa in 100Mb mode (half and full duplex) vdump generates
the following errors in /var/adm/messages after dumping 20%-30% of the
filesystem.

Jul 18 03:41:14 Server2 vmunix: tu0: transmit FIFO underflow: threshold raised to:
256 bytes
Jul 18 03:44:39 Server2 vmunix: NFS3 server Server1 not responding still trying
Jul 18 03:44:39 Server2 vmunix: NFS3 server Server1 ok
Jul 18 03:46:03 Server2 vmunix: NFS3 server Server1 not responding still trying
Jul 18 03:46:17 Server2 vmunix: NFS3 server Server1 ok
Jul 18 03:46:37 Server2 vmunix: NFS3 server Server1 not responding still trying
Jul 18 08:37:34 Midgard vmunix: tu0: transmit FIFO underflow: threshold raised to:
512 bytes

When using NFS2, vdump dosen't generate any errors in the messages file.
Insted after dumping 70%-80% of the filesystem it goes into "slowmotion".
The vdump logfile shows finishing dumping 80,1% then 80,2% etc.....
I guess it will take days to finish the backup and I can't wait :-))

There's no problem when working on the mounted nfs exported filesystem
using cp, mv and vi etc........ Well it seems to work :-))

Any suggestions what's wrong would be appreciated.
Summary will follow.
