Hello All,
The original question was:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Is that possible to install alpha machines
through the network and run custom post-install
scripts after that ?
The answer:
^^^^^^^^
There is a Digital product called RIS (Remote Installation System)
which allows network installations.
See the manual "Guide to Sharing Software on a Local
Area Network" for some of the setup details. The RIS environment
is delivered in the base operating system kit as optional subset; there
is a separate "server" license needed to use it.
There is also support for adding custom installation scripts, but the
mechanism for doing it is not especially well documented
(the on-time stuff gets put into the /sbin/it.d area of the system, and
needs to be added to the appropriate inventory file
if it's going to be loaded and run automatically as part of the RIS
install
method).
I'm still checking it , so will send more detailed summary later.
Thanks for your help.
