Anyone running 5/300 processors on DEC Unix 3.2C?

Greetings

We have decided we have outgrown the processing power of our three 4/200 CPU's in our Alpha 2100 and are considering upgrading to two of the 5/300 CPUs.

The performance information at the DEC web site shows the performance of the 5/300 under 3.2C: the exact version we are currently running. However, other literature from DEC points to needing 3.2D or above to run these CPUs.

We are in the process of updating the application running on this machine, and would like to avoid adding confusion to the process by having to upgrade the O/S as well, although we are aware that DEC's support for this version is probably limited.

Is anyone successfully running 5/300's on a 2100 running 3.2C?
Any cautionary tales?

Thanks
Paul
