DEC 300 M400 firmware update failure.

Hi SysAdmins, i just was trying to upgrade the firmware of an Alpha
DEC3000 M400 to the latest version necesary for install DU4.0B but when i
boot the firmware update cdrom the system hangs , and get back to the
console prompt.
i booted with
boot -fl 0,80 dka400

I have another alpha, same model and configuration, and it works fine,
any ideas?
