Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help me,
I have a system running Dec Unix 4.0B with a rz26 internal system disk and
an external Micropolis 1991 disk drive. (Alphastation 255/233)
The problem I am having is :-
The 1991 drive creates a large number of cam scsi errors, this also resluts in
a problem when trying to access the drive. At times it would appear the drive
waits for a period of time on access - around 45 seconds.
Is this drive spinning down between access ?
We have replaced the disk, external cabinet, cables and processor.
we are running the latest version of Firmware on the drives, and all available
patches relating to scsi problems have been applied.
Any one using 'other' 9Gb drives under Dec Unix 4.0B - I would like to here
your findings.
Regards
