Summary X failed to start

Actually, users can logon alright but when X tried to setup common desktop
applications it exited since it cannot resolve the display name (in
/~usrhomedir/.dt/errorlog)

Solution

for some reason, when i used netsetup to change its IP number, rc.config
permission changed to root rwx only, a simple change of permission of rx
for other users seems to fix the problem
