Hello!
I just installed DU 4.0B onto an AlphaStation 500 with 512 MB
of memory. We are running Oracle 7.3.2.2.0 on this system
as the primary application.
We have been successfully running several other systems with
the same version of Oracle with DU 4.0A. For some reason,
this new system with 4.0B is suffering some significant
memory leak problems that we have not seen on the 4.0A systems.
Aside from the version of the OS, the systems are similarly
configured (lazy swap, lots o swap, similar parameters).
In recent posts to the list, I've seen references to 4.0B
patches. To the best of my knowledge, the only thing I
installed was the OS off the "Digital UNIX V4.0B Operating
System Volume 1" CD-ROM.
So I guess I have two questions. What could be causing the
memory leak on this system? And are there patches I ought
to install on this system?
Thanks so much,
Jon Wright
