Full Duplex mode on DEC Fast Ethernet Interface

Greetings,

I have a DEC Alpha 2100 running OSF1 3.2g with a PCI Ethernet 10/100
Interface connected to a Bay Networks 28115 Switch. The Bay says its
port is in full duplex mode, but ifconfig on the alpha reports that it
is running in simplex (half-duplex?) mode.

# ifconfig tu1
tu1: flags=c63<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST,SIMPLEX>
     inet 157.98.10.10 netmask fffff800 broadcast 157.98.15.255 ipmtu 1500

I am fielding questions about throughput on this system and am trying
to find out if the alpha should be running in duplex mode and, if so,
how do I configure it to do so.

Thanks,
