Problems with German LK471 emulation

Hi managers
We have got a ALPHASERVER 2100 with a German LK471 keyboard and have
problems to set the right keyboard mappings under CDE and console.
The sizer -wk program says that it is a PCXAL Terminal, but this is not
right. The worst result is, that we cann't access the | character,
because the charcter code 5c is not accepted from the terminal.
How can we solv this problem ?
