I just brought an Alphastation 500 up from 3.2C to 4.0B + patches. It happens
to be the "print server" for the building it is in. Now whenever a remote
machine tries to connect to the lpd process, it forks a child that dies almost
immediately. Has anyone else seen this, or better yey konw how to fix it? This
results in all the other machines saying:
# lpq -Papple
eds2.atmos.washington.edu: Fri Sep 26 11:45:57 1997: waiting for tao to come up
