[Q] depord error when removing a patch

I'm trying to remove a patch, using dupatch, from one of our 3.2g machines and I
get this error:

depord: dependancy ordering error
/usr/sbin/setld :cannot shift


Any ideas what is causing this? I got the same error when I tried to remove the
C++ Run-Time Libraries, five minutes after I installed them.
