We are going to move to another building, and in this process we want to move
our printers (Apple Select 360, at present all attached to Suns, all but one
on serial ports) onto parallel ports.
One of those printers should go onto an Alpha 200/100, which has a free
parallel port.
For internal reasons the machine with its peripherals shall go into a closet,
while its display and keyboard are in a room on the other side of a wall, and
the printer should go somewhere else in this latter room.
Since we have to order a parallel cable, and the catalogue reports a 10 m
cable, we wonder whether there are any limitations on the length of the cable
(for signal propagation).
Also if there are any useful tricks to be know for the printcap.
