Hi DU Admins

My question was about unaligned access errors from Matlab 5 on a
433au with Digital Unix 4.0c.

After I sent my first summary I got some more replies and some
more information. Thanks to Alan Rollow, Grant Ward, Roger Picard,
Oisin McGuinness and Mike Iglesias.

As far as I can tell the problem only occurs during the startup
phase of matlab before the logo appears. After that there are
no more uac errors. So the problem is just a nuisance and
shouldn't affect performance.

The problem is not specific to 4.0c. I discovered that it also
occurs on at least one 4.0b system as well. I'm not sure what the
crucial factor is but both the systems that I know of that exhibit
this problem have PowerStorm 4D40T graphics cards.

Mike says Matlab 5.1 doesn't have the problem. I'm going to try to
get hold of version 5.1 in any case since Matlab 5 seems to have quite
a few bugs.

Thanks again
Ian
